Area and Adverb FREEBIES plus some cute tops!

We are on our 4th week of measurement in my class!  PTL the rulers are put away this week because we’ve moved onto learning about area!  After 3 weeks of having toys, drumsticks, weapons…rulers around the classroom I’m glad to have them out of sight again 🙂
We kicked off our study about area with these little Area Robots!  My kids LOVE to create anything and everything, and the robots were a hit with my boys especially!  You can get this freebie by clicking {HERE} or on the pictures below!
I did only give them a half sheet of the grid paper because I have 43 students between my 2 classes!  I have nowhere to display or put 43 full-sized robots, ha!
Here’s to a good and hopefully FAST week!

  1. Thanks so much for the freebie! I picked up your prefix and suffix one and it really helped review with my second graders! We are working on adverbs this week so I got really excited when I saw that you had another freebie! Your outfits are darlin' and I need to go check out some of those stores!

  2. thank you for the FREEBIES, Amy! I know my kiddos will love making the robots. We won't actually cover area fully, but I always sneak it in at the end of the year. LOVE.LOVE.LOVE the matching mommy and me outfits. Joelle is seriously precious! 🙂

  3. Thank you for the FREEBIE! It came at a perfect time! We are in our measuring unit right now with area coming up on Wednesday. I'm excited to do this with my kiddos!

  4. I can't tell you how much your blog has improved my teaching! Thanks to your PowerPoint videos, I've learned to “cutesy” stuff up! Thanks to your freebies (which always come right before I need them), my kids have had so much more hands on and sorting practice! I appreciate all you do! However, my husband does not love my new love of the Mint Julep Boutique!!

  5. Thanks for some great freebies. I really like the work you put into the adverb sort. Adverbs are not easy for students to grasp, so thanks for providing fun, extra practice! The robots are really a super idea for hands-on area practice!

  6. Thank you for the freebies! We are working on adverbs too. This extra practice is fantastic.

I was curious what program you use to create all your neat packets and mix and layer the graphics?? I don't have a blog but my email is [email protected] if you have any advice on how I can create some of my own cute sheets etc.
