If we were sharing chips and queso right now, I don’t think I could keep this a secret one more second.
Kindergarten Magic of Math is finally here. And truly… this has been years in the making.
Kindergarten Math is Finally Here… and It’s Everything We Hoped It Would Be
For years, teachers have asked us the same question over and over:
“Will you ever create Magic of Math for kindergarten?”
And the honest answer? We weren’t totally sure. We didn’t want to rush it.
Kindergarten math matters too much to throw something together quickly. Those early math experiences shape how students see themselves as learners. So we waited. We tested. We partnered with incredible, experienced educators. We went back to the drawing board more times than I can count.
And now… it’s finally being made. In fact, several of the skills are ready to go.
Kindergarten Magic of Math was created with intention, with care, and with a deep understanding of what young learners truly need.
The Goal of Kindergarten Magic of Math
At its heart, Kindergarten Magic of Math is a hands-on math curriculum designed to help students build deep number understanding through meaningful, engaging experiences.
This isn’t about rushing kids to memorize facts.
It’s about helping them truly understand numbers.
Every unit focuses on one core math concept and walks students through a clear progression, moving from exploration to understanding to confidence. Students aren’t just “doing math”… they’re making sense of it.
And the goal is simple:
To help you deliver clear, effective instruction while keeping your students actively engaged in learning.
The Purpose Behind Magic of Math
Everything inside Kindergarten Magic of Math was built on the same foundation that teachers already love… just thoughtfully adapted for your youngest learners.
We focused on what matters most:
- Strong conceptual understanding so students know the why, not just the how
- Hands-on learning experiences that make math feel real and approachable
- Visual models and manipulatives to support thinking and build connections
- Clear teacher guidance so you feel confident every single day
- Interactive, engaging lessons that keep students involved from start to finish
Because when math feels meaningful, students lean in.
And when they lean in… that’s when the real learning happens.
A Day in the Life of Kindergarten Magic of Math
One of the things teachers love most about Magic of Math is how simple it is to implement… and that stays true in kindergarten.
Each day follows a clear, purposeful structure so you always know exactly what your math block will look like.
You’ll start with a mini-lesson, where you model the concept, think out loud, and guide students through their first understanding.
Then students move into a hands-on activity or game, where they explore the skill using manipulatives, partners, and meaningful practice. This is where engagement really takes off.
Finally, students complete independent work, giving them the chance to apply what they’ve learned and build confidence on their own.
These three parts work together to create a balanced math block… one where students are supported, challenged, and successful.
Putting the Magic Back Into Your Math Block
Here’s the part that makes me the most excited. This isn’t just another curriculum.
Kindergarten Magic of Math is built on the same tried-and-true approach that over 150,000 teachers have already used and loved in their classrooms. But this time, it’s been carefully designed specifically for kindergarten learners.
It’s hands-on without feeling chaotic.
It’s structured without feeling rigid.
It’s engaging without feeling overwhelming.
It gives you everything you need… while still allowing you to enjoy teaching. And most importantly, it helps your students experience math in a way that builds confidence from the very beginning. Because when students feel successful in math early on, it changes everything.
I have been holding onto this for a long time… and I’m so excited it’s finally here. If you know a kindergarten teacher who has been looking for something that actually works… something that makes math make sense… something that brings a little joy back into the math block…
I truly believe this is going to be something special in classrooms everywhere.
