Free Activity

Here is a fun activity that students can complete to go along with the read aloud. Students pretend they are the main character. They choose the animal that they would rather be than a frog. Students draw a picture of that animal and write about it. Here you can see that this can be completed in SEESAW. Or, you can grab the PDF by clicking HERE!

Classroom Activities

Now let’s look at some activities that can be done in the classroom to go along with this story.

Reading Response

After reading the story, students create the frog from the book. Students write about the story.

Nonfiction Connection

Kids LOVE learning about frogs! Students read a nonfiction text about frogs. Then they choose three types of frogs to write information about.

Written Response

After learning information about frogs, students participate in a directed drawing of this cute critter. They can wrap up their learning with a written response including fun facts about frogs!
