Inspirational Bulletin Board Ideas

For the past few years I have been helping my old school put bulletin boards together before the first day of school rolls around. I just love helping teachers and adding brightness all over the school! Every year when I create these boards other teachers always ask if I have templates to share. Well, this year I thought ahead and not only made the boards for the school, but I put all of my bulletin board ideas into templates so you can use them too!

“Be The Reason Someone Smiles Today” Bulletin Board

This is probably my favorite board. It is just so simple to cut and assemble. Plus, it make a bold and bright statement piece!

I used fadeless black paper, white cardstock, and astrobrights cardstock. However, my printer does NOT print on cardstock great, so I would recommend trying that out before wasting a whole bunch of paper. Regular colored copy paper works much better with my printer.

“Our Students Are…” Bulletin Board

I love the positive message this next bulletin board sends. Plus, it was so simple to assemble because the words are in the shape of rectangles! I also ended up including a lot more words than you see here… and you can create your school name because I have all of the letters included in the pack!

The polka dot border is one of my favorites. It’s by Schoolgirl Style. You can find that HERE. Click HERE to check out the Our Students Are Bulletin Board Set.

“Be Kind” Bulletin Board Message

One of the school counselors gave me this bulletin board idea when she requested that I use this message in one of my boards. I think it’s a great reminder for us all!

I have learned over the years which type of letters are easiest to cut… and it’s NOT cursive or script fonts. They are MISERABLE to cut out. I like to use fonts that are within circles, rectangles, or squares so they have minimal cutting OR use chunky fonts. That’s just my little tip for you, ha!

You can find this bulletin board set HERE!

Here are some things I find helpful with bulletin boards:

Black Fadeless Paper

Easy Shot Stapler

Spring Cut Scissors

Black and White Polka Dot Borders

If you can print nicely on cardstock, I like THIS kind: Astrobrights (but there are only 4 of each color so I had to buy a few packs)

If regular paper is better, I like THIS kind because there are so many different colors: Astrobrights

  2. Love your stuff and have relied on your many good ideas over the years. However now it feels like you are always trying to sell stuff…which I get you deserve to get credit for all your hard work, but dont forget us teachers out there who can’t buy everything that comes along. Missing the wonderful info you used to provide that wasn’t at a price.
