ABC Booklet FREEBIE

This is a bit of a different post for me!  Normally I’m posting things that are geared towards 2nd grade, but I have a special little FREEBIE for you K-1 teachers :).

Israel is in Kindergarten this year, so we are really focusing in on those letter names and sounds.  He did master most of his letters in Pre-K, but we still have a little bit of work to do.  Since he came home to us at 3 years old, I really wanted to give him time to adjust and develop his vocabulary before I forced reading on him!  We really do love reading together, so I know he will LOVE having this book to read on his own.

{Here we are reading one of his favorite books:  Lizard From The Park}

He was so excited to get it!  He picked it up, took it to the library and started reading right away!

Each page has the Upper and Lowercase letters and three pictures with their labels.

Since Israel’s hands are usually a disaster {covered in food, dirt, or who knows what else!}, I decided to go ahead and laminate the pages.

{My laminator is old and not available on Amazon, but here is a Scotch Laminator: HERE/Amazon Aff. Link OR HERE is a cheaper one with really good reviews}

I made this to be very low-prep.  I just sliced the pages in half and hole punched!  I didn’t want to have to cut out a lot of boxes or piece a lot of pieces together.  Let me just tell you… these Fiskars are the BEST thing ever.  They keep your hand from cramping!!!  Click HERE to check those out.

I tried to use pictures that would be high-interest for Israel, but I also think any kiddo could enjoy them!

You can grab that FREEBIE by clicking below or HERE!  I’ve also included a blank version where your students or children can make their own books.
