Digital and Printable Math Activity: Find the Area of the Dinosaur

$2.75

Description

Are you looking for a fun activity to use when teaching finding the area of rectangles? In this activity students create a dinosaur and find the area of each part of the dinosaur. The best part? This activity comes in a DIGITAL and PRINTABLE version! You get both in this download! Check out the video preview to see how to complete this activity digitally.

Here’s how it works digitally: Students move the pieces to create the dinosaur. They estimate the area of each part. Students type their estimations. Then students find the area of each part by moving the square tiles to cover the rectangle. Students count the tiles and find the area of the rectangle. Students type the area.
