Description
These 3rd grade area and perimeter lessons give you four weeks of done-for-you 3rd grade math instruction. Each day includes a word problem, a mini-lesson, a hands-on activity or game, and an interactive notebook entry, so students practice through games and movement instead of worksheets.
What Each Week Covers
- Week 1: geometry: quadrilaterals, congruent figures, and 2D and 3D shapes
- Week 2: area: unit squares and relating area to multiplication
- Week 3: area: decomposing rectangles, partitioning shapes, and relating area to fractions
- Week 4: perimeter: measuring, unknown sides, and relating perimeter to area
