Christmas Door Decor

I am currently the Room Mom for both of my kids’ classes at school.  I’m not 100% sure how it happened… but I felt an urge of guilt come over me at Meet the Teacher and ended up signing up for both classes.  I’ve NEVER been Room Mom before, so I’m not quite sure what I was thinking, ha!  BUT, lo and behold… here I am.  Just in case you are wondering… Room Moms help with parties, volunteers, etc.  I’m actually currently working at a different school than them, so it’s going to be very interesting!!!  Thankfully I have a VERY understanding principal 🙂

Anyways, all of the room moms decided to decorate the classroom doors for Christmas.  They gave us a theme, and we went up on a Sunday and decked the halls… literally!

I did NOT want to think of my own ideas so I scoured Pinterest for help.  Here’s what I came up with…

On Joelle’s 4th Grade classroom door, I decided to do a singing Rudolph.  I just drew all of the pieces at home and brought them to the school to tape up!  I found some music note clip art and ended up putting the kids’ names on the notes.

I found this idea HERE!

Israel’s Kinder class is doing a Polar Express Christmas party.  I can’t find links to any of the pictures I found on Pinterest, but here’s how mine turned out:

I am no pro when it comes to decorating doors.  The stinkin’ door handle always throws me for a loop.  I know there are tricks out there, but I just don’t have the time to learn something new!  I am thankful that there are a gazillion ideas out there from wonderful teachers so that I don’t have to overthink anything!  AND, Joelle came up and helped me hang everything which was super helpful 🙂

Most importantly… They are DONE and that is one more thing checked OFF my list!
