I know that typically I share teaching resources on here, but I just can’t let Christmas pass by without sharing this very EASY and TASTY treat with you. If you love Oreos, you have to try it out! Jared made us some North Pole Christmas coal and we loved it so much that we had him make a new batch.
To make North Pole Christmas Coal you only need Oreos, marshmallows, and butter. Other than melting marshmallows, you don’t have to do any actual baking! This makes for a tasty dessert or a pretty cute little gift.
Ingredients
1 package (14 ounces) of Oreos
3 cups of mini marshmallows
3 tablespoons of butter
Recipe
1. Put Oreos into a gallon bag. Pound until crushed. You can use a rolling pin if you are fancy 😉
2. In a mixing bowl, put 3 cups of mini marshmallows and 3 tablespoons of butter. Put in microwave until melted. Stir.
3. Pour the crushed Oreos into the bowl of melted marshmallows/butter. Mix until combined.
4.Scoop out lumps, gently press together to look like a piece of coal. Place on wax paper or cookie sheet to cool.
5.Refrigerate.
