Desk Organization

Well, as soon as I wrote THIS post about my Desk Refresh for 2020, I knew I needed to actually open up my desk drawers and cabinets and straighten them up. I was feeling a little guilty that it looked all nice and tidy on the outside but was a disaster on the inside! It was time for a little desk organization.

Thankfully, I already had the organization system in place from a few years ago. I just needed to throw some things away and put things back where they actually belong. It’s funny how you {or…. I) can have all the bins and baskets, yet things just don’t find their way INTO those organizational devices.

When I did my initial organizing of this desk, I went to Wal-Mart and bought containers of different sizes (I don’t have links for those, it was probably 3 years ago). I went through all of my supplies and made categories. Then I just sorted my things among the bins that I purchased. Most days I wish I would have measured and bought the exact bins that I needed, but it’s functional and will do!

Now everything is back where it needs to be. I don’t have hot glue sticks in my drawers anymore or papers stuffed in the cabinets. My staples are back where they belong. Let’s see how long this lasts 😉

I also went through my drawers and threw a ton of stuff away. I had stuffed so much junk in the drawers that I could barely open them! Now I actually have a little space to grow (read: buy all the things)

Here are some links that you might find useful:

  1. My Printer
  2. Laptop Case
  3. Lamp
  4. Black Flair Pens
  5. Planner: I can’t find the one I bought online, but THIS one is similar.
  6. Chair: THIS chair from Pottery Barn Teen is my absolute favorite.
  7. Wall Calendar
  8. Bible
  9. Bible Cover
  10. Paper Trays (Mine are white but currently unavailable) HERE they are in gray.

Now I think I’m officially ready to work in 2020!
