At-Home Learning: Addition Facts

Assessing Addition Facts

This past week I was digging through my archives and realized I had created some addition fact assessments YEARS ago. I don’t know what my plan was for them. I can’t remember if I ever used them. I have no clue if I ever posted them anywhere. But there they were. So, I decided to dig them out, freshen them up, and prep them for Israel to do at home. PLUS, I have them as a FREEBIE for you!

Short Fact Assessments

Here’s the rundown. There are assessments for facts 0-9. Most problems are 1 digit plus 1 digit, but there are a couple of 10s thrown in there as well. I just printed out the pages and stapled into a booklet so that Israel can work through them over the next few days. Each page has just 15 problems, so it’s super quick.

Showing Mastery

Once he completes a fact sheet, he colors in that row on the popsicle sheet. As far as how much time he gets, I think that really varies. I’m not a huge stickler. I just want him to be able to add fluently without having to rely on math manipulatives.

Here’s a better look at that:

Sweet Treat

After all addition facts have been mastered, Israel gets a popsicle party! So that gives a little incentive plus just makes things more fun!
