Do you pull small groups during your math block? Sometimes finding activities to do at your back table can get tricky. You’ve already prepped everything for your lesson, activities, and independent work… how will you ever have time to get things ready for small groups?! I love what Kori from True Tales of a Teacher does. She saves Math PowerPoints and uploads the slides onto one of her favorite apps… Nearpod! This allows students to draw directly onto the PowerPoint so that they can solve the problems without just having to guess.

Here’s what Kori had to say:
“Math small groups made easy thanks to Nearpod. Today I sent out student-paced nearpods to kiddos at my table. I had a few different nearpods made so each child was given questions that they specifically needed to work on. I was there to monitor and scaffold as they worked through problems independently. This was a wonderful way for me to slowly pull back the help I give while they were still growing in their confidence. The best part…all of their work is saved on the nearpod for me to go back and look over! I love when simple things make life so much easier!”
