A new school year brings so many mixed feelings for me. I love fresh starts and a routine. I love seeing how much my kids love school. I love gaining back the time and energy that I need to create. But I will also miss the peace the summer brings… especially those late nights and slow mornings. So here’s to being excited and a little sad all at the same time 🖤

Tonight in my stories I’m sharing the behind-the-scenes story from our family pictures in Tanzania. Let’s just say we are pretty lucky to even have one decent photo from the bunch 🤪. We were going on 24 hours of no sleep, no one was getting along, and we were real ready for dinner and bed. It’s safe to say we will never take family pictures on vacation again 🤦‍♀️

It’s just that @jared_lemons is our favorite AND it’s his birthday. We are so incredibly blessed that the Lord gave us Jared. He loves fiercely, makes us laugh constantly, and looks out for us in every way possible. Jared is the kind of papa and husband that is present in every moment but also somehow manages to have the time and ability to make sure our future moments and memories are priceless. He tends to every detail and foresees any roadblock not to make his life easier but to ensure that the three of us experience life in the fullest way possible. I am so thankful the Lord brought you into this world 38 years ago Jared Lemons AND that you walked into my freshman math class. You are my best friend, my soulmate, & the one who has been making my heart go pitter-patter for over 20 years now ❤️ Happy Birthday Babe!!
