7 Time-Saving Tips for Teachers

What if I told you that staying at school way past the last ding of the school bell does not have to be your everyday reality this school year? As a teacher, I had one boundary that I was typically able to upkeep no matter what. That boundary? Leaving the school at a decent time.

I vividly remember days when I would be just a few short strides behind my students as we headed out of the school building TOGETHER. Admittedly, this had a whole lot to do with how quickly I can work. I donโ€™t procrastinate and I strive for maximum efficiency which means I can make the most out of any given amount of time. But what this looks like is completely doable for most of you lovely teachers out there. Staying on top of grading, planning, and prep will save you time and sanity as you head back.

While it wonโ€™t drastically change overnight, gradually adding these 7 time-saving tips for teachers into your routine will increase the likelihood of you leaving the school on time most days of the week rather than the other way around.

But of course, you know you best. There is never a one size fits all approach to teaching, so you should always strive to choose what works best for you and your students.
